DIPLOMATIC PEACEIn a Diplomatic Mission to Niamey,Niger Republic. We met with Colonel Major Abdourahmane Amadou the Minister of Youth, information and culture. We also held a national dialogue with representatives of different stakeholders and the military government on the remote causes of Military Interventions in Niger.Participants were drawn from the media, civil society organizations, representatives of political parties and the ruling military government. We discussed the issues in Niger and concluded that only Good Governance and respect for the rule of law and human rights can restore the confidence and trust of the people. we were received by his Excellency General Abdou Assouman Harouna the Governor of Niamey. He said they’re ready to return power to democratically elected governments as soon as possible but that they need a little time to address the real concerns of the people of Niger.we were also at the French Military Base where hundreds of thousands of Nigerien citizens have been protesting for more than 40 days asking France to leave their country and shut down their military installations. My appreciation goes to the team lead ambassador Chris Iyama of Equity International Initiative for the opportunity given to me,and other team members.
